GROUP DESCRIPTION: Australian Pain Management Association Inc. (APMA) currently operates a national network of Pain Support Groups (PSG) throughout Australia, which meet regularly. These PSGs offer support, friendship, information, presentations and guest speakers. The groups are for everyone in the community living with pain (and their family members) and are free for APMA members. Non-members are asked to contribute a gold coin at each meeting to reimburse costs.
Apart from PSG’s APMA provides a telephone helpline service, develops resources, delivers training and champions improvements in pain health and community care. We have a highly professional team, who are all volunteers. To date, our team has helped thousands of people debilitated or disabled by severe pain every year.
